The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has sent a verbal message to the Somali President, Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, about bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and ways to enhance cooperation.
The Advisor at the Royal Court, Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Qattan, delivered the message during a meeting with the Somali President in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, Qattan conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, and Prime Minister, to the Somali President, government and people.
President Sheikh Mohamud also sent his greetings and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH, the Crown Prince, and the government and people of Saudi Arabia.
Discussions during the meeting went over bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields, in addition to regional and international developments of mutual concern.
The Somali President reiterated his country's support for the Kingdom's bid to host the World Expo 2030 in Riyadh. He expressed his support for holding the first Saudi-African Summit and the fifth Arab-African Summit in Saudi Arabia this year.
For his part, Qattan voiced the Kingdom's appreciation for Somalia's support of the Saudi Expo2030 bid, which stemmed from the distinguished relations between the two countries. The Saudi ambassador to Somalia, Ahmed bin Mohamed Al-Muwallad attended the meeting.
