Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind Offshore Tonight

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 am on Sunday will be relatively hot, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. Offshore, it will be some clouds, warning of strong wind at north at first. Winds inshore will be mainly northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 05 to 15 knot. Offshore it will be mainly northwesterly at a speed of 05 to 15 knot gusting to 22 knot at north at first. Sea state inshore will be 1 - 3 feet surging to 4 feet at north at first, while offshore will be 2 - 4 feet surging to 7 feet at north at first. Visibility inshore will be 5 to 10 kilometers, while offshore will be 5 to 10 kilometers.

According to Qatar News Agency, the weather forecast indicates a significant variation in sea conditions, with inshore tides expected to rise initially before stabilizing. The offshore conditions are expected to be more turbulent, with wind speeds reaching up to 22 knots initially at the northern regions, leading to higher surges in sea state. The visibility in both inshore and offshore regions is expected to remain consistent between 5 to 10 kilometers throughout the period.
