Doha: Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE), Maha Zayed Al Qaqaa Al Ruwaili, stated that the implementation of the distance learning system in public schools is an institutional model that reflects a high level of preparedness and established operational efficiency in managing educational transformation during crises.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Ruwaili emphasized that education is a strategic national priority that will not be compromised under any circumstances. She explained that the transition to distance learning platforms was not a temporary response but the result of strategic planning and systematic investment in building digital capabilities. The attendance rate of academic staff in live broadcast classes exceeded 98 percent, with over 16,000 teachers logging into the Qatar Education System, and approximately 48,000 students attending live lessons.
She emphasized the Ministry's adoption of a precise monitoring mechanism for attendance and engagement, involving continuous data analysis and field evaluation. Challenges are promptly addressed by specialized support teams, ensuring continuous improvement and performance efficiency. The educational field demonstrated professionalism and flexibility, effectively engaging with new developments.
Institutional integration among departments within the educational affairs sector strengthens decision-making and response speed in exceptional circumstances. A hotline in each school and central technical support channels ensure constant contact with students and parents to overcome technical obstacles.
