Cairo: Egypt and Qatar have renewed their call for all concerned parties to honour their commitments under US President Donald Trump's plan to end Israel's conflict in Gaza. The call was made during a meeting in Egypt between Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. According to TRTworld.com, the Egyptian presidency reported that the two sides stressed the importance of fulfilling commitments under Trump's plan to consolidate stability and promote the early launch of recovery and reconstruction efforts in Gaza. The meeting also focused on regional developments, with President Sisi emphasizing the need to contain ongoing escalations due to their potential impact on regional stability and economic conditions. President Sisi reiterated Egypt's support for Qatar and other Arab nations, expressing opposition to any attempts that might undermine their sovereignty and stability. The discussion also highlighted progress in Egypt-Qatar relations, with Sisi expressing a desire to enhance cooperation in political, trade, and investment sectors. He welcomed increased Qatari investment in Egypt and assured Cairo's readiness to provide necessary facilities to support such ventures.
