Riyadh: The Saudi National taekwondo team player, Donia Abu Taleb, has been honored with the Best Arab Achievement Award by the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhy.

The recognition was given due to her exceptional performance as the first Saudi player to qualify directly for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The award ceremony was held in Cairo, where 40 male and female athletes from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Tunisia, Jordan, Algeria, Qatar, and Morocco were honored, along with businessmen from various Arab countries.

The Saudi Taekwondo Federation received an award for the Best Arab Federation in recognition of its achievements at the local and international levels, namely the qualification of world champion Abu Taleb for the Paris Olympics. The award was received by the Executive Director of the Saudi Taekwondo Federation, Mohammed Al-Shehri.

The event also honored the Saudi Minister of Sports, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal, with a gift in appreciation of his efforts to promote sp
orts at all levels.
