Emirati and Indian Foreign Ministers Address Regional Tensions

Abu dhabi: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met on Saturday with Minister of External Affairs of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The meeting focused on discussing regional developments and the recent missile attacks by Iran that targeted the UAE and other nations, which have significant implications for regional and global security, maritime safety, energy supply, and the global economy.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the discussions, the Indian Foreign Minister expressed India's support for the UAE in its efforts to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to ensure the safety of its citizens, residents, and visitors. This solidarity comes amidst heightened tensions and security challenges in the region.

Both ministers also reviewed ongoing regional developments, notably the recent two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. They emphasized the importance of enhancing international efforts to achieve lasting security and peace in the region. Additionally, they addressed several mutual concerns, underscoring the significance of collaborative approaches to these pressing issues.
