Foreign Minister discusses relations, regional situations with Yemen Prime Minister

Aden, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen, received Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in the temporary capital, Aden.

Dr. Al Zayani visited Yemen as part of a tour that included several Arab countries.

The meeting reviewed the historical relations between the two countries and their peoples, and means to enhance cooperation to serve common interests.

The two sides also also exchanged views on the political and security situations in Yemen and their implications for regional security and stability, the war on the Gaza Strip, and the Arab and international efforts exerted to halt war, protect civilians, and deliver humanitarian aid to the residents of the Gaza Strip, as well as developments regarding maritime navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

The meeting was attended by Shaikh Ali bin Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Yemen; Ambassador Ahmed Mohammed
Al Teraifi, the Chief of Arab and African Affairs; and Ambassador Saeed Abdul Khaliq Saeed, Director of the Coordination and Follow up Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
