Four Palestinians Martyred, Others Injured in Israeli Shelling of Gaza City

Gaza City: Four Palestinians were martyred and others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted Gaza City on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources reported that three individuals, including two brothers, were martyred while several others were wounded in an Israeli strike targeting a group of civilians behind the Al-Amal Hotel in western Gaza City.

Another person was martyred and one more was injured in renewed Israeli shelling of Al-Karama School in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the eastern part of the city. The same school was bombed by Israeli forces on Wednesday, in an attack that resulted in a massacre claiming the lives of dozens of Palestinians, including children and women.

Local sources confirmed that occupation forces were firing smoke bombs over the eastern areas of the Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Tuffah neighborhoods, amid continuous and intense artillery shelling in various parts of Al-Shuja’iya and Al-Muntar Street, causing fires to break out in several homes.

The Israeli entity resumed its assault on the Gaza Strip on March 18, following a two-month pause under a ceasefire agreement that took effect on January 19. Since then, it has tightened its blockade on the territory, which is now facing an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
