Four detainees in Israeli occupation prisons continue their hunger strike, refusing to be arrested, including three administrators.

The Prisoners’ Club reported that the detainees, Kayed Al-Fafsous from Dura/Hebron, and Sultan Khallouf from Burqin, southwest of Jenin, have been continuing their hunger strike for 28 days, and Abdel Rahman Baraka from Aqabat Jaber camp, south of Jericho, for 21 days, in refusal of their administrative detention.

Detainee Maher Al-Akhras has also continued his strike for eight days, in refusal to arrest him, and the occupation court extended his detention last Thursday for seven days for investigation.

The Prisoners’ Club confirmed in a telephone call with “Wafa” that the occupation prison administration continues its tormenting measures against the hunger strikers, detaining them in harsh conditions inside the cells, and putting psychological and physical pressure on them, in an attempt to dissuade them from continuing their strike.

He added that the health conditions of the hunger strikers are actually worsening over time, noting that three of the strikers had previously gone on long strikes, which actually affected their health conditions.

It is noteworthy that since 2011, the number of individual strikes has exceeded 440, most of which are against administrative detention.

It is noteworthy that the number of administrative detainees reached more than 1,200 detainees, and this percentage is the highest since the years of the Al-Aqsa Intifada
