Kuwait city: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi met with UK Minister of State for Trade at the Department for Business, Trade and Industry Chris Bryant, who is currently visiting Kuwait, to discuss the progress of negotiations for the free trade agreement between the GCC and the United Kingdom (UK).
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, they discussed several topics of mutual interest, most notably the latest developments in the negotiations between the GCC and UK teams regarding the resolution of outstanding issues related to the agreement.
Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying joint efforts and working to bridge the remaining gaps in the negotiations. They expressed their hope that the agreement would contribute to strengthening trade and economic relations between the two sides and open new avenues for cooperation in various fields.
