QSE Index Experiences Early Morning Decline with 35.57 Point Drop


Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index lost 35.57 points, or 0.33%, at the start of Wednesday’s trading, falling to 10,889 points, compared to the closing of the last session.



According to Qatar News Agency, QSE figures attributed the decline in the general index to the negative performance of most sectors: Banking and Financial Services by 0.53%; Transportations by 0.42%; Industrials by 0.37%; Insurance by 0.33%; Telecommunication by 0.12%; and Real Estate by 0.02%. On the other hand, the Consumer Goods and Services sector performed positively by 0.11%.



At around 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 2,592 transactions worth QR 44.130 million, distributed over 19.074 million shares.
