Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi underlined the Cooperation Council’s backing for all efforts aimed at mitigating the impacts caused by the Ukrainian-Russian crisis .
The GCC Secretary General’s remarks came during his meeting with Assistant Secretary General and the UN Coordinator for the Black Sea Grain Initiative Abdullah Dashti on Wednesday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh .
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, the foremost of which exchanging views on the latest developments, updates and progress of Ukrainian exports of wheat, foodstuffs and fertilisers, including ammonia through safe maritime humanitarian corridors .
The officials also discussed the mechanism of action of the Black Sea Grain Initiative, and its importance in maintaining the stability of global food security, in addition to sharing opinions on the latest relevant developments regionally and internationally.
