Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani has highlighted that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) is prepared to release all Israeli hostages in return for several Palestinian prisoners, under conditions that may be unacceptable to Israel. During a joint press conference with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkiye Hakan Fidan, His Excellency confirmed ongoing negotiations regarding the situation in Gaza.

His Excellency reiterated Qatar’s commitment to finding an end to the hostilities and alleviating the siege on the Palestinian people.
His Excellency addressed allegations of Qatar’s support for demonstrations on American campuses, dismissing them as baseless. He clarified that Qatar’s interactions with American academic institutions are transparent, conducted through official channels. Despite this, Qatar remains steadfast in fostering dialogue and seeking common ground with its partners.
Furthermore, His Excellency expressed regret over misleading allegations targeting Qatar, underscoring the country’s peaceful stance and commitment to mediation. He criticized the Israeli government’s response to Qatar’s mediation efforts, stating that misinformation campaigns undermine the peace process.
In collaboration with Turkiye, Qatar continues to address regional stability and humanitarian concerns, including developments in Syria and lifting sanctions to aid reconstruction efforts. The Turkish Foreign Minister praised Qatar’s significant role in regional peace initiatives and expressed Turkiye’s commitment to supporting Syria’s territorial integrity and stability.
The discussions also covered the Iranian nuclear file, with both Qatar and Turkiye acknowledging Oman’s mediation efforts between Iran and the United States.
