HH the Amir and Sultan of Oman Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman convened at the Amiri Diwan this morning to discuss bilateral relations between Qatar and Oman.

According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir welcomed HM the Sultan and his delegation, expressing hopes for sustained health and well-being for HM the Sultan and the continued growth of the fraternal ties between the nations. HH the Amir emphasized the historical connections between Qatar and Oman, reiterating Qatar's commitment to enhancing cooperation and partnership to meet the aspirations of both countries' peoples and serve their shared interests.

HM Sultan Haitham bin Tariq expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended by HH the Amir. He noted his satisfaction with the visit and meeting, underlining Oman's dedication to bolstering cooperation and coordination with Qatar. The Sultan stressed the importance of further consolidating their longstanding relations and exploring broader prospects for cooperation across multiple fields.

The meeting included discussions on strengthening fraternal relations at various levels and exchanging views on issues of mutual interest. Key figures from both sides were present, including Qatari ministers and senior officials, as well as members of the official Omani delegation.

Following their discussions, HH the Amir hosted a luncheon banquet for HM the Sultan and his delegation, attended by dignitaries and senior officials from both countries.
