Doha: Qatari newspapers highlighted in their Thursday editorials HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani’s patronage of the graduation ceremony of the 48th batch (Class of 2025) of Qatar University (QU) students. The ceremony honored 153 outstanding students from among the graduating students across all university specializations, reflecting HH the Amir’s vision on investing in Qatar’s people as the foundation of the state’s renaissance.
According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers also noted Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in reducing tensions between India and Pakistan. This involved phone calls by HH the Amir with HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, followed by a similar call with HE Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi, to support efforts aimed at consolidating security, peace, and stability in the region.
Al-Watan newspaper emphasized the significance of HH the Amir’s patronage of the QU graduation ceremony, highlighting the leadership’s view that education is crucial for achieving sustainable economic and social prosperity. The newspaper noted Qatar’s commitment to building an integrated educational system that has gained recognition in global indicators.
