Israeli Airstrikes on Gaza Result in Casualties Amid Escalating Violence


Gaza City: A Palestinian was martyred and several others were injured on Saturday as Israeli airstrikes continued to target various areas across the Gaza Strip.



According to Qatar News Agency, medical sources in Gaza reported that one Palestinian was martyred and several others injured in artillery shelling on Beit Lahia, north of Gaza. Additional injuries were reported among displaced individuals in the Bedouin village area in the northern part of the Strip due to artillery shells fired by the Israeli army.



In another incident, one person was injured by gunfire from Israeli military vehicles, coinciding with heavy machine-gun fire from an Israeli Apache helicopter targeting Izbat Abd Rabbo, east of Jabalia Camp in northern Gaza.



Al Awda Hospital confirmed receiving two injuries caused by drone gunfire in the Al Mughraqa area in central Gaza.



Israeli forces also fired shells and bullets at several locations, including east of Al Fukhari town in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, as well as areas east of Gaza City, Al Tawam, and Al Saftawi neighborhood in the northwest of the Strip.



The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza issued an urgent appeal for blood donations, urging citizens to head to operational hospitals in the Strip immediately.



The Ministry also announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression, which resumed early Tuesday, has risen to 634 martyrs and 1,172 injured. Since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, the total number of martyrs in Gaza has reached 49,747, with 113,213 injured.
