Jerusalem: The Israeli occupation forces have detained 50 Palestinians, predominantly former prisoners, during an extensive operation involving arrests and field investigations in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Palestinian Prisoners Club reported on Thursday that the arrests have been ongoing since dawn, with a significant focus on the Ramallah area. Other affected areas include Hebron, Tubas, Tulkarm, Nablus, Jenin, and Jerusalem. The operation involved not only arrests but also widespread raids, alleged abuse and attacks on detainees and their families, as well as significant destruction and sabotage in Palestinian homes.
The Palestinian Prisoners Club further highlighted that the Israeli forces have implemented specific policies during these raids, particularly systematic field investigations impacting numerous families across all governorates. In 2025 alone, more than 7,000 arrests were documented in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, alongside numerous field investigations. Since October 7, 2023, there have been approximately 21,000 recorded arrests, not accounting for those from Gaza, which are estimated to be in the thousands.
