Israeli Occupation Forces Arrest 580 Palestinians in January, Most of Them from Jenin -Report

Ramallah: Palestinian prisoner institutions have reported that the Israeli occupation army arrested 580 people in the occupied West Bank during January, most of them in Jenin city and its camp, which has been witnessing an ongoing aggression for 21 days.

According to Qatar News Agency, a joint report issued Monday by the prisoner institutions indicated that among the detainees were 17 women and 60 children, and that field investigations affected hundreds of people, noting that 4 detainees were martyred during January.

The report stated that until January 19, the number of arrests in the West Bank reached 14,500 cases, including 455 women and 1,115 children.

The occupation forces continue to carry out systematic arrest campaigns against Palestinians, which have escalated in an unprecedented manner since October 7, 2023, both in terms of the number of detainees and the level of crimes committed.
