Amman: King Abdullah II of Jordan, in a phone call with UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer on Saturday, stressed the need for the international community to take immediate action to put a halt to Israel’s attacks on Gaza and to reinstate the ceasefire.
According to Qatar News Agency, King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of resuming the flow of aid into Gaza to prevent further worsening of the already catastrophic humanitarian situation. He underscored Jordan’s firm rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, highlighting the potential dangers of ongoing attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank and violations of Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Additionally, King Abdullah II addressed the situation in Syria, expressing Jordan’s continued support for Syria’s efforts to maintain its unity, sovereignty, and stability.
