Jordan’s King Calls for De-escalation in West Bank


Doha: Jordan’s King Abdullah II has called for de-escalation in the West Bank, stressing that achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution is the only way to achieve stability in the region.



According to Qatar News Agency, in statements Monday, the Jordanian King reiterated his country’s firm position on the Palestinian issue, rejecting displacement, settlement and an alternative homeland. He underlined the importance of working to rebuild the Gaza Strip without displacing Palestinians in the Strip and the West Bank.
