Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation Katara announced that it will embark on launching two training programs on educational diplomacy, popular diplomacy, and soft power.
According to Qatar News Agency, the sessions are organized by the Katara Public Diplomacy Center in collaboration with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) to promote the notions of public and cultural diplomacy and cultivate the associated skillsets across diverse segments of the community.
The training programs are held as part of the diplomatic cultural program, with the first session slated for May 26, entitled 'Educational Diplomacy' and structured around imbuing male and female teachers with essential behavioral and engagement skills required to perform their roles with a diplomatic mode that blends grit and diligence with emotional intelligence.
These programs address the rules of pedagogical protocol in dealing with students, peer teachers, professionals, school management staff, and parents, thereby contributing to the building of a highly respectful and refined school environment.
The second session is scheduled to take place from Jun. 1 to 3 and will feature an interactive workshop entitled 'Public Diplomacy and Soft Power.'
The workshop offers participants a profound understanding of the notions of public diplomacy and the strategic importance of soft power in international relations, highlighting its role in shaping a country's image and enhancing its global presence.
The center invited interested teachers and professionals to take part in the two sessions, viewing them as a remarkable opportunity to develop capacities and engage with evolving diplomatic concepts that reinforce the positive presence of individuals and institutions in both local and international settings.
This debut program in Qatar comes as part of Katara's commitment to advancing the nation's standing as a beacon for global civilizational and diplomatic engagement through professional educational and training initiatives.
