Moscow: The Russian presidency (the Kremlin) confirmed on Tuesday that the Ukrainian side has not issued any response to the temporary three-day ceasefire announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that it remains unclear whether Ukraine would participate in the three-day ceasefire proposed by the Russian President for the upcoming month. Peskov emphasized that there has been no reaction from the Kyiv regime to this proposal.
Peskov highlighted that President Putin made a gesture of goodwill by announcing a temporary ceasefire from midnight on May 7-8 until midnight on May 10-11. He expressed hope that this peace initiative would be evaluated, particularly by European capitals, underlining the main objective of entering into peace negotiations.
The Russian presidency declared this three-day ceasefire with Ukraine as a gesture to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet Union and its allies in World War II.
