Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower Amid Fluctuating Indices

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse ended its trading session on Wednesday with the All Share Index experiencing a decline, losing 57.64 points to settle at 8,826.59 points, marking a decrease of 0.65 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 702.7 million shares were traded with a value of KWD 130.5 million, approximately USD 396.7 million, across 31,302 transactions. The Main Market Index showed a contrasting performance by gaining 36.95 points, reaching 8,178.46 points, which signifies a 0.45 percent increase. This was achieved through 485.9 million shares traded in 22,013 transactions, valued at KWD 67.3 million, roughly USD 204.5 million.

Conversely, the Premier Market Index experienced a downturn, losing 84.08 points to close at 9,424.37 points, reflecting a 0.88 percent drop. This decline occurred through the trading of 216.8 million shares in 9,289 transactions, with a value of KWD 63.2 million, or about USD 192.12 million. Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index saw a gain, rising by 75.67 points to reach 8,456.60 points, an increase of 0.90 percent. This was supported by a stock volume of 338.6 million shares executed in 14,067 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 50.2 million, approximately USD 152.6 million.
