QSE Experiences Slight Decline at Market Opening

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index experienced a slight decline of 0.04% at the start of Wednesday's trading, dropping 4.29 points to settle at 11,170 compared with the previous close.

According to Qatar News Agency, while the index saw gains in several sectors, including Industrials (+0.25%), Insurance (+0.22%), Real Estate (+0.20%), and Banks and Financial Services (+0.10%), these were offset by declines in other areas. Specifically, the index faced downward pressure from the Telecoms sector, which fell by 0.78%, as well as Consumer Goods and Services and Transportation, which dipped by 0.10% and 0.07% respectively.

By 10:00 am, the financial activity included a turnover of QR 117.5 million with 38.5 million shares being traded across 4,242 transactions.
