Doha: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index gained 39.73 points to reach 8,140.92 points, an increase of 0.49 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 315.9 million shares valued at KWD 90.6 million (approximately USD 279 million) were traded through 16,787 transactions.
The Main Market Index saw an increase of 48.97 points, reaching 7,383.82 points, or a rise of 0.67 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 194.4 million shares across 9,151 transactions, totaling a value of KWD 45.2 million (around USD 139.2 million).
The Premier Market Index also experienced a rise, gaining 39.35 points to close at 8,732.41, marking an increase of 0.45 percent. This was the result of 121.5 million shares traded through 7,636 transactions, valued at KWD 45.4 million (roughly USD 139.8 million).
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index increased by 60.60 points to settle at 7,446.90 points, or an uplift of 0.82 percent. The index’s performance included a stock volume of 170.4 million shares conducted in 7,165 deals with a total value of KWD 41.3 million (approximately USD 127.2 million).
