Kuwait Bourse Sees Gains in All Share and Premier Market Indices


Doha: The Kuwait Bourse closed on a positive note Sunday, with the All Share Index rising by 45.17 points to reach 8055.92 points, marking a 0.56 percent increase.



According to Qatar News Agency, the day’s trading saw approximately 376.6 million shares exchanged, with a total value of KWD 92.9 million, equivalent to roughly USD 284.2 million, across 18,595 transactions.



The Main Market Index experienced a rise of 10.29 points, concluding at 6978.12 points, an increase of 0.15 percent. This movement was facilitated by the trading of 187.2 million shares through 9,466 transactions, totaling a value of KWD 28.8 million, or about USD 86.2 million.



The Premier Market Index also saw gains, increasing by 56.10 points to end at 8722.90, a 0.65 percent rise. The trading volume for this index was 189.4 million shares, completed via 9,129 transactions, with a total value of KWD 64.13 million, roughly USD 196.2 million.



Conversely, the Main 50 Index declined by 18.38 points, settling at 7178.88 points, a decrease of 0.26 percent. This index reported a stock volume of 153.7 million shares, processed in 7,572 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 22.9 million, approximately USD 70 million.
