Meteorology: Hot Weather to Persist, Strong Winds and High Seas Expected Over Northern Waters

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has forecast hot to very hot conditions during the day on Saturday, accompanied by slight dust to blowing dust in some inshore areas.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are expected to include strong winds and high seas in northern waters during the day. Some cloud cover is also anticipated at times, adding to the dynamic weather pattern.

Inshore winds will be westerly to northwesterly at 8-18 knots, with gusts reaching up to 28 knots in some areas during the day. Offshore, winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly at 2-12 knots, with gusts of up to 23 knots at the north during the day.

The sea state inshore will range from 1 to 3 feet, rising to 4 feet in northern areas during the day. Offshore, seas will range from 2 to 4 feet, increasing to 7 feet over northern waters during the day.

Visibility will range between 4 and 9 kilometers both inshore and offshore, dropping to 3 kilometers or less in some inshore areas.
