Minister of Finance Engages in High-Level Talks at AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies


AlUla: HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari held separate meetings with key international finance leaders on the margins of the AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a series of discussions, he met with HE Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov, HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov, and President and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Jin Liqun.



According to Qatar News Agency, these meetings focused on topics of mutual interest concerning economic, financial, and investment sectors. The discussions also explored avenues for enhancing cooperative efforts between Qatar and the respective countries and organizations, aiming to strengthen bilateral and multilateral relations.



The AlUla Conference for Emerging Market Economies is an annual event organized by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the International Monetary Fund. It convenes finance ministers, central bank governors, policymakers, and leaders from various sectors across emerging markets. The conference serves as a platform for exchanging perspectives on economic developments globally, regionally, and locally. It also facilitates discussions on policies and reforms intended to foster inclusive prosperity and strengthen resilience through international cooperation.
