Istanbul: HE Minister of Finance, Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, engaged in a series of bilateral meetings with key international figures, including HE Secretary of the Treasury of the United States of America, Scott Bessent; HE President of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga; and President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Zou Jiayi. These discussions took place on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) held in Washington DC.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meetings focused on a spectrum of financial and economic issues. The discussions also covered the current regional and international developments, including the associated challenges. The meetings aimed to explore matters of mutual interest between Qatar and the other participating parties, addressing both regional and international perspectives.
