Ministry of Endowments to Launch First Event of Second Cultural Season on Tuesday

Doha: The Department of Islamic Research and Studies at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs is set to launch the first event of the second cultural season of the 'Knowledge Integration' seminar series on Tuesday. The upcoming seminar will delve into the potential impacts of knowledge integration by reflecting on selected models from the extensive history of Islamic civilization. It will address the cultural, intellectual, and scientific achievements that continue to influence the present and shape the future.

According to Qatar News Agency, the seminar will be hosted at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque immediately following the Isha prayer. This event is organized in collaboration with the Ibn Khaldon Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences at Qatar University and will feature contributions from a distinguished group of scholars, researchers, and academics.

Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani, Director of the Department of Research and Islamic Studies, stated that the seminar is a semi-annual, scientific, and intellectual cultural event held twice a year. It aims to explore the causes, tools, and methods necessary for achieving interaction and integration across various sciences, while examining cultural issues and social problems from an Islamic viewpoint.

The primary goal of the seminar, as highlighted by the Director, is to foster a culture of cognitive integration. This objective is at the forefront of the Department of Research's mission, pursued through its seminars, lectures, and numerous publications.

Sheikh Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Thani also mentioned that the second seminar of this season is scheduled for February 2026. It will focus on advancing 'cultural interaction' as a basis for cognitive integration, addressing two main and interconnected axes with both intellectual and practical implications.
