AlMabarrah AlKhalifia Foundation (MKF) announced the graduation of the participants in the fifth edition of the Ithra Youth Program 2023, after successfully completing the workshops, educational field trips, personal development training programs and volunteer work that were conducted from January 15 to February 25.

1,806 students have previously graduated from the program, some of which are now considered key leaders across various fields and sectors.

The program aims to provide participants with the necessary knowledge and leadership skills by enrolling them in workshops and military camps, which are held in cooperation with the Royal Academy of Police.

Participants took part in sports activities and workshops that identify and refine leadership skills in various fields, with the aim of further elevating the future of both the private and government sectors.

This leading program has been designed by adopting a study of the participants’ needs and analyzing the results of their self-assessment, to enable each participant to develop their skills.

The program aims to direct youth energies towards achieving development process, and keen on refining and highlighting talents.

The program focuses on number of skills, as employment, technical, social and life skills, in addition to project management, and learning about university life and the different professions within the labour market.

The Ithra program aims to enhance the personal and life skills of the youth, instill a culture of giving back to society and the country, and contribute to the formation of their goals through mental and physical activities that instill the program’s educational values, in cooperation with trainers who have extensive experience within their respected fields.

Ithra, the three-year program, targets two categories of participants, namely young people aged 13-17 years old.

The Foundation’s programs seek to create vibrant Bahraini youth equipped with the required skills and knowledge to add value and make a positive impact in society, in line with the vision of enabling Bahrainis to thrive and contribute towards strengthening the national economy.

The final project for the fifth edition of the Ithra Youth program 2023 included guiding the participants towards choosing one of the following professions and discussed the ‘How to Choose a University Major’ topic, which is considered a vital decision in a person’s life.

Participants were asked to prepare a presentation that includes the educational and professional path of employees, where they worked in groups to determine the optimal path in the secondary stage, and to search for the required specialization within several local and international universities.

Registration for the sixth edition of the program is expected to open for new participants during the end of this year and the beginning of the next year.

The Foundation also focuses on the trainers, and is keen on providing them with advanced courses in training and how to deal with participants.
