MOI and Cisco Systems Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

Doha: HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, witnessed the signing of a Letter of Intent for strategic cooperation between the Ministry of Interior (MOI) and Cisco Systems. The signing ceremony saw the presence of Chuck Robbins, Chairman and CEO of Cisco Systems, and several senior officials from both parties.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Letter of Intent was signed on behalf of the MOI by Brigadier Jassim Al Buhashim Al Sayed, Director General of Communications and Information Systems, and on behalf of Cisco by David Meads, Vice President for the Middle East, Africa, Romania, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The agreement aims to bolster partnerships with global leaders in technology, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure. This collaboration is expected to support the MOI's initiatives in developing a smart security system and achieving comprehensive digital transformation.

HE the Minister of Interior and the Cisco Systems CEO also engaged in discussions about enhancing cooperation in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure development, and cybersecurity. Future strategic projects and potential areas of partnership were also on the agenda.
