Tel aviv: Doctors Without Borders (MSF) on Wednesday called on Israel to allow its teams to continue working in Gaza and the occupied West Bank in 2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Wednesday, the MSF said it is urging the Israeli occupation authorities to ensure that Doctors Without Borders and other international non-governmental organizations are registered in Israel to continue working in the West Bank and Gaza Strip in 2026.
It added that today is the official deadline for its registration to work in the occupied Palestinian territories, adding that they will then be obliged to stop their activities by Mar. 1, 2026. It noted that its registration application is pending and incomplete, due to its continued demand for guarantees and clarifications from the occupation authorities regarding a troubling request to provide a list of staff members.
MSF also stressed that the organization applies strict internal policies to ensure compliance with the law. The Israeli occupation authorities announced the suspension of the operations of more than 37 humanitarian organizations working in the Gaza Strip, including Doctors Without Borders (MSF), claiming that the organizations did not meet the required standards and regulations.
