Official Qatar World Cup opening match is not its first match

Hosts Qatar play the official opening match of the World Cup on November 21 against Ecuador but two other games are actually scheduled for earlier that day. The official match schedule released early Saturday by the world governing body FIFA says that the other teams in Group A, Senegal and the Netherlands, will play the first match of the tournament at 1pm local time (1000 GMT).
