Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Secretary-General Hussain Ibrahim Taha called upon member states, OIC humanitarian institutions and the international community to support the rescue efforts of the Moroccan authorities following the devastating earthquake that hit several regions in Morocco and caused hundreds of casualties.
Taha praised the immediate responses and measures that were taken by the King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, to rescue the affected people and limit the impact of the earthquake.
He expressed his sincere condolences to the government and people of the Kingdom of Morocco, praying to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy and forgiveness on the victims and grant families of the deceased profound solace, and wished speedy recovery to the injured.
