The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by an extremist minister in the Israeli occupation government, accompanied by hundreds of extremist settlers. The OIC denounced the desecration of the mosque's courtyards and the obstruction of worshippers from reaching the mosque, actions that have inflamed the sentiments of Muslims worldwide and represent a blatant violation of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions. The OIC cautioned against the peril posed by the Israeli occupation's continued policies aimed at altering the Arab and Islamic character of the occupied city of Jerusalem. The organization reiterated that Israel, as the occupying power, holds no sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its sacred sites. It emphasized that the entire precinct of the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque, the noble sanctuary, is designated exclusively for Muslim worship. The OIC appealed to the international community, particularly the Unite d Nations Security Council, to fulfill its obligations by bringing an end to these serious and recurrent transgressions against the sanctity of holy sites and freedom of worship. The organization underscored the necessity for an immediate and full cessation of Israeli aggression and the provision of international protection for the Palestinian people.
