Muscat: Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and his Syrian counterpart, Asaad Al Shaibani, discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them on Sunday in Muscat. During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed regional and international developments as well as issues of mutual concern.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Busaidi reaffirmed Oman’s support for efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in Syria, and for respecting the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. For his part, Al Shaibani, who is on his first visit to the sultanate, praised Oman’s role in supporting Syria’s security and stability, expressing his country’s interest in expanding avenues of cooperation and deepening joint coordination.
