A 16-year-old Palestinian boy was shot wounded by Israeli soldiers on Saturday near Barta’a military checkpoint to the southwest of Jenin in the occupied West Bank, Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Ambulance Service Mahmoud Al Saadi said.

The occupation forces fired live bullets at the boy near the military fence causing injury to his leg, Al Saadi said, adding that the occupation forces detained the boy prior to handing him over to the Palestinian medical crews. He pointed out that the Red Crescent’s crews provided first aid to the boy and subsequently admitted him to hospital for further treatment.

Meanwhile, a group of Jewish settlers performed provocative dances in front of the gates of Bab Al-Ghawanmeh and Bab Al-Malik Faisal in Al-Aqsa Mosque Saturday morning.
