Palestinian Ministry of Endowments: 21 Stormings of Al-Aqsa, 47 Calls to Prayer Blocked at Ibrahimi Mosque Last Month

Jerusalem: The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs revealed that Israeli settlers, under the protection of occupation forces, stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque 21 times, while the occupation authorities prevented Adhan (call to prayer) 47 times at the Ibrahimi Mosque during the month of January.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry’s monthly report released today highlighted the escalation of attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque, noting both the increased number of incursions and the implementation of dangerous Judaization plans targeting the mosque.

The report further explained that occupation forces restricted the entry of worshippers, obstructed their access to Al-Aqsa Mosque for prayers, detained young men, and scrutinized their identities in the vicinity of the Old City of occupied Jerusalem and at the mosque’s gates.

Regarding the Ibrahimi Mosque, the occupation authorities prevented Adhan 47 times, reinforcing the policy of temporal and spatial division. The report also noted continued violations against the mosque in various ways.

The Palestinian Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs emphasized that these actions by occupation constitute a blatant and flagrant violation of the authority of Endowments over the Ibrahimi Mosque, a serious encroachment on its sanctity, an affront to Muslim sentiments, and an attempt to take control of the site.

In relation to Islamic and Christian holy sites, the report documented the demolition of Al-Ansar Mosque in Jenin refugee camp by occupation forces.
