Manama: HE President of the Investment and Trade Court of the State of Qatar, Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, along with a Qatari judicial delegation, participated in the King Hamad Forum for Justice. The event was held under the patronage of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain from 5 to 6 November.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum was inaugurated alongside the International Commercial Courts Conference titled “The Future of International Commercial Courts: Towards Cross-Border Justice.” The event saw the participation of senior judicial officials and legal experts from across the region.
During the sessions, participants reviewed key initiatives and best practices aimed at developing justice systems, strengthening the rule of law, and exchanging expertise in various judicial fields. The conference covered themes such as the development of international commercial judicial systems, strengthening cross-border cooperation between commercial courts, and showcasing best practices in the digital transformation of commercial justice. These discussions aimed at improving judicial efficiency and expediting the resolution of commercial and investment disputes.
HE Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli and the Qatari judicial delegation expressed that their involvement in the events reflects Qatar’s commitment to supporting regional and international judicial cooperation. They emphasized promoting the exchange of expertise and knowledge among justice institutions in the region and worldwide, upholding justice principles, and the rule of law. This participation contributes to fostering an advanced legal and investment environment, strengthening confidence in judicial systems.
His Excellency further highlighted that such participation underscores Qatar’s ongoing leadership in advancing international judicial cooperation. It also contributes to the formulation of future visions that enhance the effectiveness of justice regionally and globally, both in the general field of justice and within the commercial and investment sectors.
