Prime Minister Discusses Regional Stability with UAE Counterpart

Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a telephone call from HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The conversation centered on strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries, alongside discussions on the latest regional developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the talks emphasized ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions while promoting security and stability across the region. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy, urging all parties to adhere to previously agreed terms within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is crucial for safeguarding regional security and preserving the achievements made in recent times.

His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's full support for initiatives focused on de-escalating tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that aims for lasting peace in the region.
