Doha: The net profits of Qatar Aluminium Manufacturing Company (QAMCO), a public Qatari shareholding company, surged by 83% in the first quarter of 2025, reaching QR156.410 million, compared to QR85.587 million during the same period last year.
According to Qatar News Agency, data released by the company on the Qatar Stock Exchange website indicated an increase in earnings per share, which rose to QR0.028 for the period ending March 31, 2025, up from QR0.015 in the corresponding period of the previous year.
Meanwhile, Mesaieed Petrochemical Holding Company, another public Qatari shareholding company, reported a decline of 4% in its net profits, totaling QR186.168 million in Q1 2025, compared to QR194.016 million in the same quarter of 2024. Data from the company indicated that earnings per share remained stable at QR0.015, matching the figure from the corresponding period last year.
Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company, also a public shareholding entity, recorded a drop of 13.41% in its net profits for the first quarter of 2025, amounting to QR2.033 million, down from QR2.348 million in Q1 of the previous year. The company’s earnings per share decreased to QR0.032, compared to QR0.037 in the same period last year, as noted in data published on the Qatar Stock Exchange website.
