Qatar Airways Expands Flight Services to Toronto and So Paulo


Doha: Qatar Airways expanded its services for travellers to and from the Americas with its upcoming increase in flights to Toronto and So Paulo. Reaffirming its focus on serving growing demand, the airline will serve Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) with five weekly flights from 19 June 2025, and So Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) with 17 weekly flights from 25 June 2025.



According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori, expressed satisfaction with the response from the market, stating that the increase in flights to Toronto comes less than six months after launching services there. He emphasized the airline’s commitment to meeting growing demand for its travel offerings. Additionally, the expansion in So Paulo is aimed at enhancing connections through a key gateway and strategic hub for both business and leisure travel.



The airline’s expansions highlight its commitment to providing global connectivity through Hamad International Airport, recognized by Skytrax for its exceptional airport shopping experience in 2025. Passengers will benefit from Qatar Airways’ connections to 55 destinations in Latin America via LATAM Airlines, including cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Lima, and Santiago de Chile. Currently, Qatar Airways serves over 170 destinations worldwide.



Moreover, Qatar Duty Free (QDF) celebrated its 25th anniversary by honouring eight staff members who have been instrumental to its success. These individuals represent the values of resilience and innovation that have driven QDF’s transformation into a recognized enterprise with over 4,000 team members and more than 200 shopping and dining outlets.



Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr.
