Doha: The State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) focusing on justice and law, marking a significant step in bilateral relations between their ministries of justice.
According to Qatar News Agency, the signing ceremony was conducted by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi and HE Minister of Justice of the Arab Republic of Egypt Counselor Adnan Fangri, who is currently visiting Qatar. The MoU is designed to enhance legal cooperation, facilitate the exchange of expertise in training, and establish support and capacity building programs for legal practitioners. It also aims to promote the sharing of laws, legislation, research, and legal studies, along with organizing forums and conferences on specialized legal topics to advance the legal sectors and services in both nations.
On the sidelines of the MoU signing, a meeting took place between HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi and HE Minister of Justice of the Arab Republic of Egypt Counselor Adnan Fangri. Discussions focused on strengthening legal cooperation and developing relations in various legal and judicial fields. The meeting also addressed mechanisms for implementing the newly signed MoU.
The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Qatar, Amr Kamal El-Din El-Sherbiny, along with several senior officials from the Ministry of Justice and the Cabinet’s General Secretariat.
