New york: The State of Qatar and the Republic of Naoero have formalized their diplomatic relations through an agreement signed at the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations in New York. The agreement marks a significant step in fostering mutual understanding and cooperation between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, representing Qatar, and HE Permanent Representative of Naoero to the United Nations, Lara Erab Daniel, representing Naoero. Both representatives underscored their commitment to strengthening friendship and collaboration, adhering to the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter and international law.
The signing ceremony highlighted the shared objectives of promoting international peace and security, ensuring equality among states, and upholding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
