Qatar Launches Endowment Fund to Support Diabetes Patients

Doha: Qatar's Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has launched an endowment fund to support diabetes patients, as part of its healthcare endowment program. The initiative, launched by the ministry's General Directorate of Endowments, aims to develop sustainable endowment resources and direct their proceeds towards helping patients cover treatment costs and providing medicines and essential medical supplies.

According to Qatar News Agency, Hassan Al Marzouqi, director general of the General Directorate of Endowments, said the fund was designed to address the community's healthcare needs and help ease the financial burden on beneficiaries. He emphasized that the initiative aligns with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs' 2025-2030 strategy, which focuses on enhancing healthcare support through sustainable funding.

The endowment fund represents a significant step in Qatar's efforts to improve healthcare access and support for diabetes patients. By channeling resources into this initiative, the ministry aims to create a long-term impact on the health and well-being of individuals affected by diabetes, thereby contributing to the broader healthcare objectives of the nation.
