St Petersburg: The State of Qatar and the Russian Federation have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance legal cooperation between their respective Ministries of Justice. This agreement was executed by HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi and HE Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation Konstantin Chuychenko. The signing occurred during the 13th St Petersburg International Legal Forum, hosted in Russia from May 19 to 21.
According to Qatar News Agency, the signing was accompanied by discussions between the Qatari and Russian ministers. They focused on strengthening bilateral legal cooperation in areas of shared interest and exploring new avenues for development. In addition, the dialogue included examining potential cooperation opportunities and initiatives introduced at the forum.
The signing ceremony was attended by several members of the official delegation accompanying the Qatari Minister, underscoring the importance of the agreement in fostering deeper legal ties between Qatar and Russia.
