Qatar Cabinet Approves Key Agreements and Reviews Reports

Doha:The weekly Cabinet meeting in Qatar, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, took place on Wednesday morning at the Amiri Diwan.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Cabinet approved a draft memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Mexico's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focusing on cooperation in diplomatic training and education. Another draft MoU was approved with Spain, aimed at enhancing cooperation in peace, reconciliation, and mediation. Additionally, a draft agreement with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) was endorsed, concerning the hosting, organizing, and funding of the 2026 ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, set to be held in Doha from November 9 to 27, 2026.

The meeting concluded with the Cabinet reviewing three significant reports. These included the annual 2025 report from the Communications Regulatory Authority on its achievements and work programs, outcomes from the 10th extraordinary meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee held in June 2026, and insights from participation in the 29th Arab-German Economic Forum, which took place in Berlin in June 2026. The Cabinet took appropriate decisions regarding these reports.
