Qatar Chamber and Asharqia Chamber Discuss Bilateral Business Cooperation


Doha: Qatar Chamber (QC) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Eastern Province (Asharqia Chamber) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia convened in Doha to discuss strategies for enhancing bilateral cooperation and advancing partnerships between the Qatari and Saudi business sectors.



According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting took place on Sunday and was attended by QC board members Dr. Khalid bin Klefeekh Al Hajri and Abdulrahman bin Abduljalil Al Abdulghani, alongside a business delegation from the Asharqia Chamber led by Board Member Nasser bin Rashed Al Bjjash Al Hajri. The Saudi delegation included prominent figures from the information and communication technology and artificial intelligence sectors.



The discussions centered on strengthening cooperation, exploring investment opportunities, particularly in IT and digital transformation, and addressing challenges faced by investors in both countries. Dr. Khalid Al Hajri underscored the necessity for regular coordination between the two chambers and the organization of frequent meetings to boost trade and investment cooperation.



QC board member Abdulrahman Al Abdulghani highlighted the importance of overcoming obstacles hindering mutual investments, reiterating QC’s commitment to enhancing collaboration with Asharqia Chamber. Nasser Al Bjjash Al Hajri pointed to the plentiful opportunities for cooperation between Saudi and Qatari business owners and commended Qatar’s notable advancements in the technology sector. He encouraged Qatari business owners to visit Asharqia Chamber to explore potential investment opportunities with their Saudi counterparts.



The Saudi delegation emphasized the importance of leveraging the expertise and capabilities available in both nations, particularly in IT and digital transformation sectors. They noted that the Qatari market is ripe for digital transformation, offering broader prospects for cooperation and the establishment of joint Saudi-Qatari projects.
