Doha: Qatar Chamber on Monday explored ways to enhance cooperation with Burkina Faso. This came during a meeting between Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansori, Acting General Manager of Qatar Chamber, and a Burkinabe delegation led by Abdoulaye Sawadogo, Chairman of the Nafaso Group. The delegation included representatives from companies in the agriculture and trade sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, agriculture, and economic sectors, as well as the role of the Qatari private sector in boosting commercial exchanges between the two countries.
The parties also discussed the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Qatar Chamber and Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce to deepen bilateral cooperation, open new avenues for business engagement, and encourage mutual investment.
Al Mansori affirmed Qatar Chamber's readiness to work with the Burkinabe side to develop trade and investment relations, noting that current trade volumes fall short of expectations and emphasizing the importance of private sector engagement in enhancing mutual investments and commercial exchanges.
